Who am I and what can I offer you?
First off, I'm Karl Bertrand and this upcoming winter will be my third since moving to the roaring fork valley outside of Aspen, CO. Hopefullythis will my busiest season of music to date. I perform solo, with harmonicas and a looping setup, often blending the music from song to song to create an immersive and constant musical environment. While I have rooted experiences in bluegrass, folk, and the jam-band traditions, I draw from a catalogue of 100+ different cover songs from a myriad of genres. The average set will include as many covers as originals, though that may differ upon request (especially in private party settings.) If performing at a bar or restaurant, I vary my setlist from night to night so both patrons and staff can always expect a fresh performance. Additionally, I have streamlined a request system via QR codes so that listeners can request any of my prepared tunes right from their seats. Rates
In an effort to be successful as a musician in this valley, I'm open to hearing any rate that fits into your budget. I've found that what works for one business might not work for another. I have nights that I'm making $500+ entertaining a private party, and other nights where I'm making considerably less performing at a small, family-owned restaurant. Considering offers from all scales of business allows me to be as busy as possible, and gets me in front of new ears to hopefully offer every business more with every booking.
