Who am I and what can I offer you?
I’m Karl Bertrand, a solo musician based in the Roaring Fork Valley outside Aspen. This coming winter will be my fourth here, and I’m hoping it’s my busiest yet.
My show is built around harmonicas and a live looping setup. I blend songs together so the music flows continuously and creates an immersive atmosphere for your room. My roots are in bluegrass, folk, and the jam-band tradition, and my repertoire includes 100+ covers from a wide range of genres, alongside my original music. A typical set is about half covers and half originals, but for private events I’m happy to shape the music around your occasion and your guests’ tastes.
At bars and restaurants, I change my setlist from night to night so patrons and staff always hear something fresh. I’ve also set up a QR-code request system that lets listeners request any of my prepared songs right from their seats, which keeps the room engaged and makes the night feel personal. Every private event is a little different, so I quote each one individually based on the date, length, location, and what you’d like the music to do for your event. Send me a few details through the form and I’ll get back to you with a clear quote, usually within [24-48 hours].
My rate includes a full sound system, setup, and a personalized set built around your event and your guests. I’m happy to take requests in advance, and guests can request songs live through my QR system.
For bars, restaurants, and recurring engagements, I work with each venue individually. Tell me about your space and your budget and we’ll find something that works.
